Summer in Kugaaruq

Summer time is beautiful.  For most of August and September, all of the snow and ice are gone and the temperature is comfortable, even without a coat.   Boating is also very popular  The sun sets just below the horizon, not enough for it ever to get really dark   This makes for beautiful sunsets as seen in the pictures below. 

In August, Madelen and Carol love to pick berries, which grow wild in the Arctic.
