All of the Native Inuit adults speak Inuktitut but except for the very first grades, students are taught in English. By the time they reach high school, they are fluent in both languages. There is some fear that some homes do no use the native language enough and this part of the rich Inuit Culture may be in danger. Below is an example of the two languages at work in Taloyoak.
