Mandate



The Kitikmeot Economic Development Commission (KEDC) was formerly known as the Kitikmeot Community Economic Development Organization (Kitikmeot CEDO).

Its mandate may be summarized as follows:

  • To assist Inuit businesses to develop and prosper.

  • To assist individuals and existing businesses access funds, training and other resources to succeed in the business environment.

  • To devolve programs from the Federal and Territorial governments to the regional and community level to provide better access and service.
